IMPORTANT UPCOMING ELECTIONS NEED ALL LEGENDS OWNERS SUPPORT

The Rules Committee of The Legends has generated proposals to change our Deed Restrictions and our HOA ByLaws. We circulated the draft changes to the Deed Restrictions on July 9th for owner comments. The Committee will review and incorporate appropriate changes from these inputs and furnish a final proposal for review by all owners at the August 19, 2026 Board of Directors meeting. Owners will continue to have the opportunity to review the proposals and submit final comments through August 31, 2026, ensuring ample time for additional feedback before the voting process begins. In addition, the Rules Committee has partnered with the Elections Committee to develop a simple, user-friendly, line-item ballot, allowing Owners to vote on each proposed change individually. Following the closing of the comment period, the official voting period is expected to begin on September 21, 2026, providing every Authorized Voter with the opportunity to vote on each proposed amendment. Voting will be open for four (4) weeks and closes on October 19, 2026.

We will follow a similar procedure for amending the ByLaws noting that the Committee and the Board agree it is best not to inundate our members with everything all at once.

To make this happen we need the support and involvement of all Legends owners especially when it comes time to vote. Changes to the Deed Restrictions requires approval of >51% of all owners (not of all voters!). To help achieve this we are planning this line-item veto style ballot to allow owners to vote on each item, as well as a publicity campaign to remind all owners to vote. We will beat the 58% turnout we saw in 2025 with your help and participation! And it goes without saying that our governing documents remain obsolete and the proposed changes will address the shortfalls that are now more than 20 years out of date.

The Legends at Rancho Del Lago HOA Community Update

Dear Home and Property Owners,

The Legends at Rancho Del Lago HOA Rules Committee has been working diligently to review and update both our Deed Restrictions and Bylaws to better serve our community.

To provide Owners with ample opportunity to review and consider the proposed changes, the rule-making process will be conducted in two phases.

• Phase One will focus on the proposed amendments to the Deed Restrictions.
• Phase Two - revisions to the Bylaws will be distributed for Owner review and consideration at a later date.

The proposed revisions include:

• Deed Restrictions: Substantive changes to 14 of the 21 sections to improve clarity, eliminate obsolescence, comply with local, State and Federal Laws and relax certain current rules. These modifications will address current community needs and strengthen our governing documents.

As part of this process, draft proposals have been made available via email and online for community review. The Rules Committee is carefully considering Owner feedback to incorporate appropriate recommendations into the final proposed documents.

The success of this effort depends on you. These proposed changes cannot truly represent the wishes of our community unless Owners participate in the voting process.

Every Authorized Voter has both the opportunity and the responsibility to make their voice heard. Whether you support all the proposed changes, only some of them, or none at all, your vote matters. Choosing not to vote allows others to make decisions that affect every Owner.

Please take a few minutes to:

1. Review the proposed Deed Restrictions.
2. Consider how the proposed changes will impact our community.
3. Cast your ballot when voting opens.

Our community is strongest when its residents participate. A high voter turnout demonstrates that Owners care about the future of The Legends at Rancho Del Lago and ensures that the outcome reflects the collective voice of our neighbors, not just a small percentage of them.
